How We Help

Porcelain Veneers

Have you ever wished you had better-looking teeth without all the hassle of braces (orthodontics) or crowns (caps)? NOW YOU CAN! Porcelain veneers are the answer for instant orthodontics to straighten smiles, close spaces, reshape, and accomplish minor teeth realignment. You can even have that “Hollywood” smile you’ve always wanted.

Veneers are thin and bonded on the front of your anterior teeth. These veneers are about 0.3mm to 0.5mm in thickness but are very strong once bonded to your teeth. They have a life-like appearance with the strength, beauty, and durability only porcelain restorations can afford. Veneers have several advantages over crowns (caps). There is no “dark line” that's visible with older front caps. They transmit light better and, therefore, have a more translucent appearance giving a natural, aesthetic look. Veneers do not require the massive grinding of tooth structure that caps do, yet, they accomplish a life-like aesthetic result.

Composite Resin Fillings

Your dentist will give you a local anesthetic to numb the area. The dentist then prepares an access to the decayed area of the tooth and removes the decayed portions. This is accomplished with traditional drills, micro air abrasion, or even with a dental laser. With a composite filling, your dentist will preserve more of the natural tooth as the composite resin can be bonded to the tooth in thin layers. If your tooth’s decayed area is close to a nerve, a special liner will be used to protect the nerve.

A special dental material is then used to open up the pores of your tooth’s dentin and roughens up the surface of the exposed enamel. This achieves a better and stronger bond. The bond resin is applied to stick the composite to your tooth. This material is made of the same dental resin as the composite however it is much more fluid. This layer is then hardened and cured with a very bright light.

Porcelain Crowns

A dental crown is needed when a tooth is badly broken down – either a cusp has broken off, or there are large old fillings or a large portion of tooth decay. A filling is used to fill a small portion of the tooth , and a crown when the tooth has extensive damage. When you have one made, there are three basic categories: metal (usually gold); all porcelain; or porcelain fused to metal. This is some information to help you decide which type of these three basic choices you want.

Metal Free Restorations

Believe it or not, the mercury issue may not be the only health risk! Mercury fillings actually weaken the tooth over time by wedging the tooth apart. Eventually, these wedging effects propagate fractures, resulting in broken teeth, micro-leakage leading to bacterial invasion which is a cause of recurrent decay and toothaches, and can lead to root canals and possible tooth loss.

In the past, these risks were the sadly accepted norm of an aging mouth. Today’s dental options provide a happier solution for all!

Teeth Whitening

Zoom 2 Tooth Whitening, The Zoom2 Professional Teeth whitening treatment consists of a gentle hydrogen-peroxide gel activated by a special gas plasma light. The science behind Zoom is the secret to our success.

Smile Makeover

Typically changing the clinical smile is rewarding, but when clinical changes affect the psychological and emotional components—that is exhilarating! Most see dentistry simply as a repair and maintenance facility. But when your life is changed in such drastic measures, it confirms the reason many of us got involved in dentistry in the first place, which is to help others.

In-Office 1-Hour Teeth Whitening

Whitening is a one-hour process that instantly whitens your teeth up to 8 shades! We also provide take home trays, at no extra charge, for patients who complete In-Office 1-Hour Teeth Whitening so that they may do at-home touch-ups as needed in the future. We recommend a complete cleaning before any whitening treatment for best results.
